Vlogging How-To: 10 Things All Amazing Vloggers Do (That You Can Too!)

So you want to be a vlogger? Well, there are 10 things you need to do in order to achieve amazing success just like all the top vloggers out there. In this video, I’m going to show you 10 things that all successful vloggers do and how you can do them too!

Hey everyone, it’s Sara from Sarathlete on the Move here and if you’re wondering how to be an amazing vlogger then look no further! In this video, I’m going to share with you 10 things that all successful vloggers do. And trust me, if you follow these simple tips then you’ll be on your way to becoming a superstar vlogger in no time!

Now, let’s get into the video:

1. They always have a camera with them.

If you want to be a successful vlogger, you need to have your camera with you at all times. That way, you’ll never miss an opportunity to film a hilarious or heartwarming moment. Plus, vlogging is all about spontaneity and capturing the unexpected, so it’s important to be always prepared. Of course, lugging around a heavy camera can be a drag, but there are plenty of lightweight and portable options out there. So there’s really no excuse not to vlog your life 24/7!

2. They film everything.

You know one of those people who films everything around them and posts it online for the world to see. If you’re serious about vlogging, then you need to be prepared to film everything. That means carrying a camera with you everywhere you go and being ready to film at a moment’s notice. It might sound like a lot of work, but vlogging can be a great way to connect with your audience and build a following. Plus, it’s a lot of fun! So if you’re ready to start vlogging, make sure you’re always prepared to film. After all, that’s what successful vloggers do.

3. They know how to capture interesting footage.

How do you become a successful vlogger? It’s not just about filming yourself talking into a camera–you need to capture footage that is interesting, engaging, and entertaining. Here are some tips for vlogging success:

  • Plan your content in advance. This doesn’t mean that you need to script out your entire vlog, but it helps to have a general idea of what you want to talk about. That way, you can be sure to include all the necessary elements and avoid any awkward pauses.
  • Be natural and authentic. Viewers can tell when someone is being fake, so it’s important to be yourself on camera. Let your personality shine through, and don’t be afraid to show your vulnerability.
  • Film in different locations. No one wants to watch a vlog that is filmed in the same spot every time. Mix things up by filming indoors and outdoors, in different parts of town, or even in different cities altogether.
  • Edit your footage carefully. Just because you’re vlogging doesn’t mean that you can’t take the time to edit your footage before posting it online. Trim out any boring or irrelevant parts, and add music or other graphics.

4. They have a great personality that shines through on camera.

Vlogging is all about personality. You need to be able to connect with your audience and shine through on camera. Here are some tips to help you vlog with personality:

  • Be yourself! It sounds cliché, but it’s important. Your audience wants to see the real you, so don’t try to be someone you’re not.
  • Be confident. Confidence is key when vlogging. If you’re not confident, it will show on camera.
  • Be engaging. Talk to your audience like you would talk to a friend. Ask them questions and get them involved in the vlog.
  • Be entertaining. Vlogging is all about entertainment. Keep your vlogs fun and interesting, and your audience will keep coming back for more.

5. They’re consistent with their content.

Every vlogger has had that discouraging moment where they don’t feel like vlogging- whether it’s because you don’t think you have anything interesting to say, you’re having an off day, or you just don’t feel like being on camera. It happens to everyone, but the key is not to let those moments stop you from vlogging altogether.

The best way to build consistency is to vlog regularly, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day. You don’t always have to vlog about something exciting- sometimes the most interesting vlogs are the ones that show the everyday routines and mundane moments of your life. As long as you’re vlogging consistently, your viewers will appreciate it.

6. They engage with their viewers.

If you want to be a vlogger, there are a few things you need to engage with your audience.

First, you need to be engaging with your viewers. Talk to them in the comments, respond to their questions, and find ways to interact with them outside of your videos.

Second, you need to be consistent with your content. Your viewers will lose interest if you don’t have new videos for them to watch on a regular basis.

Finally, you need to be genuine and authentic. Viewers can tell when someone is being fake, and they’ll quickly lose interest if they don’t feel like they can trust you.

If you can keep these things in mind, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a successful vlogger.

7. They’re creative and think outside the box.

If you’re stuck in a vlogging rut, it’s time to get out of your comfort zone and start thinking outside the box. Here are a few tips to help you vlog like a pro:

  • Change up your location. If you always vlog in your living room, try vlogging in your backyard, at the park, or even in your car. A change of scenery will help to freshen up your content.
  • Try new things. Vlogging is all about documenting your life, so mix things up and try new experiences. Whether you’re trying a new recipe or taking on a new hobby, vlogging about it will help to keep your content interesting.
  • Be yourself. One of the best things about vlogging is that it gives you a chance to show the world who you really are. So be yourself, be creative, and have fun!

8. Their videos are high quality and edited well.

As a vlogger, it’s important to have high-quality videos that are well edited. This is because your vlog is a reflection of you and your brand. If your vlog is full of low-quality, poorly edited videos, it will give viewers the impression that you’re not professional or that you don’t care about your vlog.

In contrast, if you have high-quality, well-edited videos, it will show viewers that you’re serious about vlogging and that you’re willing to invest in your vlog. It will also make your vlog more engaging and enjoyable to watch.

So if you want to be successful as a vlogger, make sure to try to put out highest quality, well-edited videos as you possibly can. The more vlogs you shoot and edit, the better you’ll get at filming and editing.

And if you’re a total beginner, no worries. Practice, practice, practice and I promise you’ll get better.

9. They take feedback seriously and use it to improve their content.

Vloggers who take the time to listen to their viewers and use that feedback to improve their content are usually the most successful. Viewers can offer important insights into what they like and don’t like, what’s working and what’s not. By taking this feedback seriously, vloggers can make the necessary changes to keep their viewers engaged and coming back for more. Additionally, vloggers who are open to feedback often seem more down-to-earth and genuine, which can further endear them to their audience. At the end of the day, vloggers who want to be successful should remember that their viewers are their most valuable asset. By listening to them and using their feedback to improve their content, you can be more successful in the vlogging world.

10. Finally, they love what they do!

Vloggers are a special kind of content creator. They have to be passionate about their subject matter, and they have to be able to capture and communicate that passion to their audience. Without that essential ingredient, a vlogger will quickly lose steam and become just another face in the crowded field of online content. However, those vloggers who do love what they do often find that success comes easily. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and their viewers can’t help but be drawn in by their passion. So if you’re thinking about becoming a vlogger, ask yourself if you’re prepared to put your heart and soul into your work. If you are, then you just might have what it takes to become a successful vlogger.

Here’s The Vlogging Gear You Need To Start Today

Hey Guys! In this video I’m going to show you the vlogging gear that you need to get started with today.

Hey, what’s up? If we haven’t met yet, my name is Sara and welcome to my Sarathlete on the Move channel.

Now, I know a lot of people are interested in starting a vlog but they don’t know where to start or what gear they need. Don’t worry because I’ve got you covered. In this video, I’m going to show you everything from the camera all the way down to the tripod. So sit back and relax because in just a few minutes you’re going to be fully equipped to start your very own vlog.

1. Camera- a good vlogging camera should have, at minimum, HD capabilities and be able to take good quality photos and videos. This can be your smartphone or you can use a larger setup if you have one such as a DSLR or a mirrorless camera that records video and in addition to taking photos.

2. Tripod- this is essential for stabilizing your shots and ensuring that your videos are smooth. If you’re going to be walking around and talking, get a handheld tripod that can hold your smartphone or larger camera. If you’re going to be staying in one place, then you can use a shelf or stack of books as a makeshift tripod to set your camera on if you don’t have the real thing.

3. Microphone- you’ll want to make sure your audio is clear, so invest in a good microphone.  If you’re using your smartphone, there are many clip-on microphones that work great. If you’re using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, then get a shotgun microphone that attaches to the hot shoe mount on top of your camera and plugs into the microphone jack on the side of the camera.

4. Lighting- natural lighting is always best, so try to vlog near a window during the daytime. Another tip is to go outside and vlog. The sun will provide you with the best lighting. Or buy an inexpensive ring light on Amazon.com. If you get a little vlogger kit like the one I use, the rode video micro vlogger setup for iphone, it comes with a tiny light I can mount on the hotshoe of the tripod in the kit. It’s a tiny but strong light!

5. Editing Software- video editing software can help you to improve the quality of your videos and make them more interesting to watch. I use iMovie which comes free on all of my Mac devices. On Apple devices, you have iMovie on your iphone, iPad and on your laptop or desktop machine. It’s a great program to use for those who are just getting started. There are paid options like Premiere Pro that can be used on Mac or PC. If you recommend a good program that be used on PCs that’s free, let me know in the comments.

6. Social media platform: If you’re going to release your content online, then you’re going to need to pick a platform to vlog on like TikTok or IG or YouTube and choose a regular uploading schedule so your audience gets used to knowing when you’ll be most likely to upload your videos.

So there you have it! These are the six essential pieces of gear and software you need to get started vlogging today!

Make sure to hit that subscribe button and notification bell so you don’t miss any of my future videos. And if you liked this video, be sure to give it a thumbs up. It really helps me out in the algorithm.

How I Captured the Photo on My Banner Image: I Was a Vulnerable Beginner and Had to Be a Beginner

Today’s video shows you the steps I had to take to get the photo on my channel’s banner image.

How I Took The Photo on my YouTube Banner Image

The Joby Gorilla pod is heavy for me, as a woman. Is this the case for you?

Trying to figure out what focal length to film, how to pan on a tripod, frame rates, etc. I realize that the cell phone is much easier to film on than the DSLR setup with the Joby Gorilla Pod.

My first vlog with the Nikon D7200 DSLR camera on the Joby Gorilla Pod. I didn’t bring my external monitor with me to the park because it added more weight. I had no idea if I was in focus or not when I am filming. Turns out I was in focus. I also figure out where to look into the camera lens by seeing my reflection in the lens and that lets me know where to look. I do wish this camera had a flip-out screen like the mirrorless cameras have like Sony and Canon.

I don’t understand how photographers and cinematographers like Peter McKinnon and Matti Haapoja carry the whole setup around with their cameras and handheld tripods—and they film on a One-wheel? That’s amazing! I admire both of you. I can barely stand up straight here!

I show the Rode Video Micro vlogger kit for my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I observe that the setup is basically the same for both setups: the cell phone and the DSLR, the tripod and the microphone and windscreen for the microphone. The image quality is the variable.

I figure out that shooting cell phone footage is good for headshots, and that I can use the DSLR for B-roll shots.

I’m proud of myself for taking a risk and getting out to the park on the DSLR.

Sorry about the noise from the Chesterton, Indiana and Porter, Indiana trains! LOL! Tell the town to pay for the silencing systems for the Quiet Zones so that Sarathlete can get better audio with no train whistles in the background.

My Apple/Mac setup (iPhone, Cloud, Mac, iMovie) takes a lot longer to sync if I film a lot of footage on the iPhone. Syncing to the cloud takes forever for my computer. It’s awful. What about you? I have an old Mac from 2016 and maybe that’s why the transfer process is so slow.

Transferring video files from the SD Card on my Nikon D7200 DSLR to my Mac is MUCH faster than filming on the iPhone and waiting for the footage to sync, especially if you are ready to jump in and edit right away. I don’t have that option with iPhone footage unless I attempt to edit the footage directly on my iPhone. Yikes for me! Do you edit on your laptop or iPad or iPhone?

I’m shy and trying to build confidence and repetition with what I’m doing. Practice makes perfect. Taking baby steps and building confidence to vlog outside at the park was a big deal on 3/21/22. I was really proud of myself for being vulnerable and getting myself out there and putting this footage online to show that it’s ok to be a beginner. We all start somewhere.

And at the end you see me get take the photo that I have on my banner image on my YouTube channel. The money shot! That photo means so much for me because it represents the courage and bravery it took to get out there and try something new.

What a fun day this was!

Thank you for watching!

What To Do In Porter, Indiana: Check Out Porter Beach Inside Indiana Dunes National Park

Visiting Porter Beach inside Indiana Dunes National Park is a must-do activity if you’re spending time in Porter, Indiana, or any of the surrounding towns in the 46304 zip code. This beautiful beach offers stunning views of the lake and the Chicago skyline located along the south shore in Northwest Indiana, and it’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and exploring both the Indiana Dunes National Park and Indiana Dunes State Park offerings.

I’m going to give you the inside insight on Porter Beach because I live here! If you have any questions, leave me a comment below.

Porter Beach is located in the Indiana Dunes National Park and borders Indiana Dunes State Park.

The beach itself has soft, golden sands that are perfect for playing in, sunbathing on, and exploring.

The surrounding area is also beautiful, with stunning views of Lake Michigan and my favorite view: the Chicago skyline from across the water.

There are lots of great hiking trails in both the Indiana Dunes National Park and inside the Indiana Dunes State park that you can explore.

Insider tip: You can park in the National Park and access the trails of Indiana Dunes State Park by foot without having to pay for access to the Indiana Dunes State Park. There is no fee charged for passersby who enter the Indiana Dunes State Park by foot or by bike. This rule only applies to the Indiana Dunes National Park, formerly known as the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.

What is there to do at Porter Beach?

Porter Beach is a small beach contained within the Indiana Dunes National Park. The beach is known for being a hidden gem in this area because most people don’t know that driving down Waverly Road just off of Route 12, weaving your way down Wabash Avenue, and nearly dead-ending at Johnson Beach Road will bring you to the two lesser-known parking lots for people to park in.

Most of the activities to take part in involve swimming, sunbathing, walking along the beach and sand dunes, and watching the beautiful sunsets. Being so close to the State park gives you access to State Park amenities like hiking trails with rare plants that connect to other beautiful places within the Dunes National and State parks like Cowles Bog or swimming in gigantic Lake Michigan all located in Northwest Indiana.

Definitely come and visit for the nice beach area, but the true gems are access to the hiking trails and flora and fauna within the parks.

Where can I obtain an Indiana Dunes National Park pass?

If you’re visiting this area, I recommend checking out the Indiana Dunes Visitor’s Center located at 1215 N State Rd 49, Porter, IN 46304. You cannot purchase a State Park pass, but you can get a National Park pass at this location. The Visitor’s center offers free parking and a chance to connect with employees who can give you valuable information about the National park.

Is Porter Beach in Indiana closed?

Porter Beach is open all year. On chilly days, you may not want to swim or tan on the beach; nevertheless, it is available all year. I like going there in off-peak seasons to shoot photos, go for a walk along the beach to get some exercise, and hear Lake Michigan’s waves splash on the shore.

What is the least crowded beach at Indiana Dunes?

Porter Beach is one of the least crowded beaches in the Indiana Dunes.

Do you have to pay to get into Porter Beach?

Yes, and no. Access to the beach used to be free. However, effective 4/1/22, you have to pay a fee to park at the National Park and walk along the beach. There are a few days that are free, but other than those few select days, you must pay the Indiana Dunes National Park fee to park in the two adjacent parking lots that are within walking distance to the beach.

This is true for Town of Porter residents as well. I am a Town of Porter resident. We have the option of paying to park in the small parking lot adjacent to Porter Beach at $45 per car for an annual National Park pass through the Town of Porter’s website to obtain a parking sticker to park in this private lot. However, now we also have to pay the Indiana Dunes National Park pass fee of $45 per year or $25 for a pass that’s good for 7 days to have proper access to use the beach.

What time does Porter Beach Open?

Porter Beach is open from 6:00am-11:00pm year-round if you are parking in the National Park’s lots. Parking in the Town of Porter parking lot adjacent to the beach with the parking permit required offers you parking from 6:00am-10:00pm year-round.

Different Parking Lots to Access Porter Beach

There are two small parking lots that are open to the public for parking through the Indiana Dunes National Park that are within walking distance to the beach.

There is a third lot that is directly adjacent to the beach but this lot is only for people who’ve purchased the proper parking permit through the Town of Porter. Violators will be towed or ticketed. Be careful not to park in the parking lot closest to the beach that is owned by the Town of Porter.

Are there restrooms available at Porter Beach?

Yes, there are seasonal restrooms available in the parking lot owned by the National Park that is closest to the beach. There are also bathrooms in the State Park Pavillion which is within walking distance from Porter Beach.

Should I pack a picnic if I plan to stay all day at Porter Beach?

I recommend you pack a picnic with some food if you are taking a day trip. Parking in the peak times of summer right at the beachfront can be more difficult to find in the summertime. If you want to spend the entire day at the beach and not worry about losing your parking spot, then I’d bring some snacks and a cooler filled with food. The Indiana Dunes Pavilion does have dining, but it is hit or miss right now and is usually only available during the summer season.

Is Porter Beach safe, and kid and family-friendly?

Absolutely! There are many friendly faces of both visitors and locals you will find on Porter Beach. Many families visit the beach with their kids and make it a day trip. Porter Beach is a small beach that is very kid-friendly and family-friendly.

What should I know about Lake Michigan’s conditions for swimming and walking along the shoreline?

I highly recommend you check the National park website for more information about rip currents before swimming or walking along the shoreline. There are no lifeguards on duty at Porter Beach during the summer season or any other time. There are lifeguards on the adjacent State Park beach, but not on Porter Beach. I’d check with local municipalities or with the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center to see about lake conditions before heading out to the beach. You and your family’s safety is key. If you are planning to spend the day swimming in the water then find out about that day’s lake conditions before heading to the beach. You enter at your own risk. If you don’t check before you go, then gauge the water accordingly, and plan other activities for the day. You’ll be able to tell pretty quickly what the water conditions are like and if they appear safe. But it never hurts to check with the National Park or State Park before heading out for the day.

Why are there so many residences along Porter Beach, and are the beaches public or private?

The beaches are open to the public. The beaches are owned either by the National Park or the State Park depending on where you’re going in the park. There are many private residences located along the lakefront. You have the right to walk along the beach and use the beach despite what the homeowners along the beach would like to tell you. Use common sense and don’t get too close to someone’s lakefront residence and disturb their real or personal property. However, know that you have the right to use the beach and walk along the beach despite what the local homeowners will tell you. This has been an issue in dispute about who owns the land the beach sits on between the lot lines on the plats of subdivision that these homeowners own and where their land ends. Do the homeowners own the beach from their property line down to the shoreline of Lake Michigan? No, they don’t. The Supreme court ruled that the beaches are open to and can be accessed by the public. You may see fencing put up along the beach. As long as you respect the homeowners and don’t disregard their rights and property, you will be fine. Just know that you have the right to access the beach.

Holding on to your Value

Tonight, I saw a poll posted by the community manager of The Unmistakable Creative community app. The poll question posted was: “What are you hoarding for yourself that you could be sharing with others?”

I consider myself to be a creatively flexible person. I’m going to rephrase the question: “What value are you holding onto that you need to be sharing with others?”

Here is the explanation that I wanted to give, but there’s just not enough room to elaborate in a polling question. And I didn’t want to be that person that left a comment as long as many of my past blog posts! (Thank you for reading, readers!)

First, I look at the word value and here’s what comes to mind-what are my skills, what

Sure, I could share share my value with others. My question is “should” meaning, why am I not showing up in the world?

When someone asks me what I do, I always default to “I’m a Title Examiner.” I.E. I give out my job title as what I do. The nice thing, from my perspective, is that no one knows what that really knows what that is. It shuts the conversation down about what I do. Introverted me loves that we get to switch the conversation to something else.

When I say I’m a title examiner, people are looking to put me in a box and classify me on a socio-economic scale. People want to say-this is who you are, this could be how much money you make, and that will determine how this person fits into my world-are they above me or below me.

What if the question was rephrased. Instead of “What do you do?” someone asked “What do you value?”

On the rare chance that I have a conversation with someone new, I never ask them what they do. I really don’t care what they do for a living. I care more about them, what is important to them, their lives, what do they value? I think where you put your energy says a lot about you. Kind of like putting your money where you mouth is.

Often what we do for a living and what we value or where we put our energy at are 2 different places. Yes, I put 40 hours a week in at my job. Yes that does take energy. It’s my job that pays the bills. Let’s go deeper. There’s so much more to me than my day job. What’s your side hustle? What are you passionate about? If passionate is too strong of a word, maybe say what are you working on right now for fun? Even, what do you like to do for fun? What do you do in your free time when you’re not working for someone else? What do you do for you?

Do you spread your joy with others? Do you share your value with others? Should you? I think you should. Should you share your value with others? In this case, what you value and what your values are may go hand in hand-if you have a value that could cause harm then I would recommend channelling your energy into something else. There’s got to be something. If you value guns, maybe could you channel your energy into something positive-teaching people how to use them responsibly.

Here is some of my value, what I’m passionate about right now. And this will change in the future. I know that and accept that. For instance, in 2012, I was really passionate about being vegan. Time has gone by, and that is something I’m not passionate about right now. I’m ok with that. I’m the one that has to be ok with that change. If someone else has an opinion about it, then they are welcome to think it and preferably keep it to themselves.

After work and working out, I feel really drained. My energy goes out the window. Work requires a lot of focus for me for 8 hours. Once I’m done focusing, I want to do something not-so-focused. That’s why I have a hard time working on art, like drawing and painting. Those are new activities for me that I do not consider myself good at. I’m still learning and it takes energy. After work I like doing something I’m good at-I like to move. I usually go to the gym after work. If I don’t, I fall into a pattern of going upstairs, getting into my bed and watching television. Brain rotting away. Nothing good is going to come from me watching tv.

I give myself permission to go to the gym. I’m really good at going to the gym. Movement is pretty easy for me. Dancing taught me physical movement. Even if I’m bad at something physical, I almost always enjoy it. This is where I flourish and thrive. I love the feeling I bench press a heavy weight.

This whole blog post feels like me just talking. I have no focus. I’m all over the place. I can’t figure out what I want to say or talk about. I just keep typing. A lot of this is garbage. Will not be on this post. Will not make the final edit. Writing something down is easy. Going back and editing it is much harder because I have to read what I wrote. It’s like giving a speech and going back and listening to myself talk. That’s the painful part. Because I’m constantly judging myself. Thinking I sound like an idiot. I hate pictures of myself because I don’t like how I look. However, in that moment, before the picture gets taken, I’m having fun. It’s not until someone says, “hey, let’s take a picture” that I want to run out of the room. All I can think about is how I will look and what people will think and say. If I concerned myself with that all of the time, I would never leave my house. I’d never go out and have fun. And that would be a sad thing for anyone. We all need joy in our lives. We all need to have fun.

I give myself permission to wander. I let myself go because I know I’ll come back to myself.

Bulding understanding and empathy for others. We like what we know. We like what we’re comfortable with. I’ve found that experiencing new things can change how I think. I do a lot of things alone because I’m that person. I think, “well so and so won’t like this. I have no friends or no one to do this with. I’ll just go by myself.” And I show up. I show up by myself. I don’t get lonely or feel awkward when I go into explorer mode. I’m too busy taking in new stimuli to care what other people are thinking of me. There’s so many new things going on that I don’t get a chance to process.

A case for trying things alone. Why not learn who you are? Experiencing things on your own can be lonely. But you never know if you don’t try. That’s how I got into going to the opera. I started going by myself. I was in college. I got a ticket for “For The Love of Three Oranges.” I did not enjoy myself. This opera was not a good choice for a first-time opera goer. Oh my. I don’t think I ever want to watch that opera again! But the important thing was that I showed up and gave it a go. The second opera I saw was Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly.” This time I went with my mother and we had a blast. By going to the first opera, I built up a tolerance for sitting through a long opera. I exposed myself. My body knew it could take three hours, music, acting, foreign language and subtitles. That’s a lot to take in. The sound is different too. Opera singers are not usually singing into a microphone. That’s pretty amazing when you stop and think about it. When I go to the Lyric Opera, I sit in the heavens because that’s where I can afford to sit. I cannot see the actors faces or the detail in their costumes. But I can hear their voices. And wow, their voices are so beautiful.

What I’ve found is going to see the same opera several times has helped me really get to know an opera.

Or knowing the story helps. I’d seen the musical Rent before I saw Puccini’s “La Boheme”. That means “The Bohemian.” Rent is a musical about starving artists and the lives they lead. So is La Boheme-starving artists, a love story and the lives they lead. Yes, the music is stylistically very different. The sound is very different. But the stories are the same. Having seen Rent made watching “La Boheme” a little easier to absorb. I knew a bit about the story as I was watching a different version of it.

I read “Emma” before I watched the movie “Clueless”. “Clueless” is based off of “Emma” by Jane Austen.

A lot of the things in our culture came from somewhere. It’s important to go back and explore where those things came from.

I know there’s a nugget of wisdom in here somewhere. I only hope I find it!

How To Edit iPhone Videos In iMovie on Your Mac: Basic Tips For Beginners

In this video, we discuss how to edit iPhone videos in iMovie on your Mac. We cover basic tips for beginners, such as how to select the clips you want to edit, add transitions and titles, and adjust the length of your transitions between clips. We also offer advice on storage issues while editing and share some tips on how to keep users on YouTube engaged with your videos. Finally, we show you how to save and share your edited videos from iMovie to your desktop.

You can use iMovie to do all sorts of fun things with your video clips. For example, you might want make a music video or film short stories that are just footage taken on an iPhone! We’ll show how easy it is when we talk about some editing tips in this lesson too–there’s nothing quite like cutting out those pesky dead spots where there isn’t any sound playing yet (it happens). As well as adding transitions at specific points throughout the project so everything feels more cohesive than before.

Watch me edit my own video that I took on iphone with imovie.

This is for all of you who want to give your videos a more polished look and feel, but don’t have time or money to hire an expensive videographer! Here’s how: cut out every breath from start until finish (unless this part was supposed be longer), use keywords in descriptions so people search them up later when they’re looking through content online.

How to use titles in your video properly so that people who are listening can understand what you’re saying. There is a transition effect when changing clips, and if it’s too long the users will have trouble hearing or seeing how one clip ends before another begins which could make them feel frustrated with using YouTube as well as not being able to get any useful information from watching your content on their own time without interruption because of buffering issues caused by having slow internet speed during streaming.

If you’re unsure about a length for a transition, try to keep it relatively short so people don’t get bored of waiting and end up going off to do something else. Even 5-10 seconds is probably too long in most cases! You want to be sure that your viewers are kept engaged throughout the entirety of the video by providing interesting content and cuts that flow nicely into one another.

It’s also important to keep in mind that if this is the first video you’re uploading, you’ll want make an effort to keep users on YouTube by including an endscreen with links to other videos or playlists on your channel. This will help increase watch time and encourage people to come back for more content like yours in the future.

How You Can Work And Live As a Successful Digital Nomad In 2022: The Ultimate Guide

A digital nomad is a person who works from home and makes money online, frequently residing in a different country or location than their place of employment. This may be an excellent method to see the world, but there are certain factors you should consider if you want to make it work for you.

First, decide what type of digital nomad lifestyle you’d like to have. Do you want to live somewhere cheaper with a lower cost of living, where your expenses will be significantly lower? Or would you prefer a city that’s more expensive but has more job opportunities and offers better access to services? Once you’ve decided on your ideal location, start researching. Look online at popular expat hubs in that part of the world and find out how other people have made their digital nomad lifestyle work for them.

Second, think about what kind of work you can do as a digital nomad. If you have existing skills or experience in a particular field, see if you can use these to find remote work online. There are many freelancing websites and job boards that specialize in remote jobs, so start searching through those to find opportunities that might be right for you.

Third, make sure you’re financially prepared for your new lifestyle. Digital nomads often work remotely because they are living in countries that have a lower cost of living – however, this doesn’t mean that all expenses disappear. You’ll still need to pay rent wherever you choose to live, and you may need to set aside funds for utilities like electricity and internet access. Additionally, remember that your income may not be as high as it is back home. Be realistic about how much money you can earn from digital nomad work, and plan accordingly.

Finally, take steps to stay safe when you’re out living life as a digital nomad. Make sure you have travel insurance in case anything happens, and consider signing up for health insurance if it’s not included with your employer’s benefits package or if it’s available in the country you’re going to be living in. Additionally, take steps to stay safe online – update your software regularly, use strong passwords and encryption where possible, and avoid public wi-fi networks when you can. With the right planning and preparation, you can make your dream lifestyle as a digital nomad a reality.

As with any major life change or career transition, there are many things to think about when deciding to become a digital nomad. First and foremost, you’ll need to decide where you want to live – this will likely depend on factors like your current location, the cost of living in different countries, and what types of opportunities are available for remote workers there.

Once you’ve settled on a destination, start researching job boards and freelancing sites that specialize in remote work so that you can begin applying for positions that might be a good fit for your skillset.

6 Tips on Living and Working Abroad

Here are my 6 top tips on living and working abroad:

Photo by Gustavo Fring on Pexels.com
  1. Choose your location carefully. One of the great things about being a digital nomad is that you can live and work anywhere in the world. However, not all locations are created equal. Some places will have better internet connectivity, which is essential if you’re going to be working online. Others will offer a lower cost of living, which can be important if you’re on a tight budget. And then some places simply offer a great lifestyle – whether that means beautiful weather, exciting nightlife, or a vibrant expat community.
  2. Consider your internet needs. If you’re going to be working online, you’ll need to make sure you have a good internet connection. This may mean choosing a place with better infrastructure or paying for a higher, better quality internet service.
  3. Look at the cost of living. One of the reasons people become digital nomads is to save money – but this doesn’t mean that all expenses disappear. Make sure you know how much things like rent, utilities and transportation will cost in your chosen location so that you can budget accordingly.
  4. Think about your work needs. What type of work are you looking for? Do you need a quiet and private location, or would you prefer somewhere more social? Do you need to be near reliable transportation options to get to work? Consider your needs when choosing a location.
  5. Stay safe online. In addition to taking steps like updating your software regularly and using strong passwords, you should also make sure that you are aware of the risks of working online while traveling. Sign up for travel insurance and consider getting health insurance if it is not included with your employer’s benefits package. You should also take steps to protect your personal information from potential hackers or scams.
  6. Make sure that you have support from family and friends back home so that they know where you are and can check on your safety if needed.

By following these tips, you can begin to make your dream of working and living a digital nomad life come true. But remember – the transition will not be seamless or easy, and it may take some time to find the right work/life balance for you.
